About me.
My name is David Use. I was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and obtained an engineering degree at University of California, Berkeley. Later in my career, I obtained an Executive MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. While working 38 years as an engineer for a major oil company, I lived in the Central Valley of California, Nigeria, Vietnam, and Houston. I retired in 2020 to Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
My genealogy journey started in earnest in 2000 when I began sifting through photographs, books, and memorabilia that I had inherited from my maternal grandmother. In 2021, I earned a certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University.
My current research focus is on finding ancestral connections to the American Revolution for myself and my spouse. Also, I am slowly working to identify how I am related to each of my DNA matches.
